Luis and Eddie Soltren are brothers with a bond stronger than Nails, literally. The two brothers and their team have been building side by side since the 70’s. They obtained their contractors license in 1985. The first Soltren Consturction built home is beachfront on the gorgeous Hanalei Bay. To this day, that home is still standing in pristine condition despite the frequent floods and salt water corrosion in that area. That is something that sets Luis and Eddie Soltren apart from other builders here on Kaua’i. The quality and love they put into each home lasts throughout the storms, the children, the pets, and everything that should be in a home. Their work is art, and they specialize in putting personal touches in that will bring you joy each day. With over 50 years of building homes on the island of Kaua’i, each one has lasted and brought so much happiness to the Soltren Construction team. 

Luis Soltren, the owner of Luis and Eddie Soltren General Contractor, grew up with seven siblings in a single parent home. His older brother Eddie took Luis under his wing, and together they have made an incredible life and business. Something that Luis does even better than building homes is giving back. Each year Luis donates thousands of dollars to the Kaua’i Independent Food Bank and people in need. For almost 40 years, Luis and his brother Eddie team up to give gifts to kids over the holiday season. They give bikes, toys, television sets, and other presents to kids around the island. He doesn’t only give around Christmas time, his generosity can be seen year round. He finds gratitude in caring for his community. Luis Soltren believes we are stronger together. Luis Soltren is also a producer for NBC’s “Dateline”, Has a Karate school here on the island and is a collector of antiques. 

Luis’ heart is poured into everything he does, and the love never runs out. That is another reason why his homes are so well built. He is inspired by our community and the beauty of Kaua’i. Luis and Eddie Soltren specialize in custom homes, but have also done work for the county, military, as well as other commercial building. They have received numerous awards over their 50 years of building and the legacy that this family has built has been inspiring to many. Despite the great success, Luis and his team remain humble, dedicated, generous and embody the true meaning of the aloha spirit.
